What Is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy in Switzerland is a recognized healthcare profession under the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) since 2020, with strict educational and professional standards to ensure high-quality care. Osteopaths in Switzerland are now trained to complete a full-time bachelors and master's degree in osteopathy, which includes clinical training under supervision and rigorous training in research methods.

This advanced training enables osteopaths to deliver primary health care that integrates not only the physical, but also the psychological and social dimensions of health, recognizing that health and well-being are influenced by a range of interconnected factors beyond mere physical symptoms.

By acknowledging how lifestyle, stress, and social factors may contribute to a patient's condition, osteopaths often guide patients in lifestyle modifications, provide them with exercises or work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support the patient's overall well-being.

With its rigorous standards and holistic perspective, osteopathy can offer a valuable complement to conventional treatments, focusing on the interconnectedness of body systems and fostering a proactive approach to health management.

All Osteopaths at Osteopathie Seebach understand, that this level of care requires continuous professional development. This allows us to provide our patients with the standard of care, which we would want to receive ourselves. We are looking forward to welcome you in our clinic in Zurich Seebach.
